May 16, 2017 (Escalon Camp) I was very impressed with the Writing Camp program. My daughter was entering the 2nd grade last year when she went through the program and absolutely loved it! She came home excited everyday and ready to go back the next day. The topic was snails. As a gardener, I don't think very highly of snails ;) but I could not believe how fascinated she was with them. They had live snails in the class that they studied, read about, wrote about and did arts and crafts about. She was thoroughly intrigued. She absolutely loved her teachers, which was really important because she is timid and had trouble in the first grade separating. The teachers worked with us and made my daughter feel very comfortable. She is looking forward to going back again and I am looking forward to sending her sister also. Thank you so much for a great experience! — Hilary Van de Pol June 17, 2016 (Ripon Camp) Writing camp complete! This camp has exceeded my expectations. My entire hope was that it would spark the boys interest and they'd look forward to actually writing. That was accomplished on day one. My kids came home everyday excited about class, told me everything they've learned and always ended with "We can't wait to go back tomorrow." Huge thank you to all the AMAZING teachers for their time, knowledge and commitment to the kids! — Kim Beier June 17, 2016 (Ripon Camp) Just wanted to share with you, Masiah said, “Summer school is over. I’m gonna miss it. I made a lot of friends in school. I’m gonna miss it.” He was so proud to share his writing journals with his father and grandpa, especially the pages that were filled completely. Thank you for the awesome opportunity you gave to my grandson! — Anita Kimbrue |
